Aroma Shooter® external hardware
Manual
To get started with your Aroma Shooter®, take a minute to check out its external components. After reading this page, you will know where to load cartridges, how to power the device, and the meaning of the 2 indicator LEDs.
Overview
Let's review the components in the above diagram, starting from the top and going clockwise:
Booster Air Out: The wind coming from here carries the scent farther.
Diffuse gate: Scents are dispensed through these 7 little holes.
Diffuse Indicator LED: There are 2 LEDs. Each LED can blink in 3 colors (Red, Green, Blue). The details are explained in the section below.
Serial number: A unique serial number in the format ASN2XXXXXX is assigned to each Aroma Shooter® during production. Use this number to identify your Aroma Shooter® in software applications. For instance, you will see this serial number while scanning Aroma Shooters nearby inside our AromaController and AromaPlayer® apps.
USB-C port: Plug in your USB-C cable here. This provides power to your Aroma Shooter® and is one method for delivery diffusion requests.
Power LED: The power indicator turns blue when your Aroma Shooter® receives power.
Tripod mount: A useful tool to mount your Aroma Shooter® to a tripod or camera mount. Use this to aim scent flow in a variety of situations.
Cartridge holders
Opening your Aroma Shooter®'s lid reveals 6 slots for 6 Aroma Cartridges with their corresponding labels from 1 to 6.
To load a cartridge: Insert your cartridge in the desired slot. Make sure the cartridge label is visible and the cartridge's holed corner is near the center of the device. Then simply push down like clicking a ball-point pen. You cartridge will now be locked in place.
To unload a cartridge: Push down again on the cartridge, clicking it like you do with a ball-point pen. The cartridge will now be easy to pull out.
BLE and WiFi Connection LEDs Indicator
If you are using the latest firmware version (from v2.1.x), the Aroma Shooter® will have LEDs indicator of BLE or WiFi connection.
Bluetooth BLE connection indicator
When the Aroma Shooter® is connected via BLE, you will be noticed by blue LED blinking three times as the following image.
WiFi connection indicator
When the Aroma Shooter® is connected with a WiFi router, it will notice you with the red LED blinking three times as the following image.
Diffuse LEDs Indicator
There are two diffuse LEDs indicator.
You'll notice the LEDs blinking as the Aroma Shooter® diffuses scents. The following table shows the LED color and its associated cartridge slot. For example, when slot 1 is diffused, the left LED will blink red. Blending scents will result in color combinations. It follows that if slot 1 and slot 2 diffuse simultaneously, the left LED will blink yellow. When slots 1, 2, and 3 diffuse simultaneously, the left LED will blink pure white.
Powering the device
Power your Aroma Shooter® using the included USB-C cable and wall adapter. If you do not have the AC adapter provided with the device, please use an 5V / 2A AC adapter.
※Insufficient power may cause malfunction of the device.
